This covers singles.bid, married.bid and divorced.bid. All three are public leaderboards, and everything about them is designed to be seen, so the short version is: your X profile and what you paid are public, your card details never touch these sites, and the visitor numbers we keep are counts with nobody's name on them.
Who is responsible
singles.bid, married.bid and divorced.bid are all run by Habibicode (Nicolas), based in Switzerland. Each board keeps its own listings, and a listing on one is not shown on another. For anything on this page, including a request about your own data, write to support@singles.bid.
What we collect
When you connect X
Signing in gives us your X user id, handle, display name, profile picture and bio. We ask X for read access to your profile and nothing else. We cannot post, read your timeline, see your followers or send messages. We never receive your X password.
We store an access token only long enough to read your profile during sign-in, and do not keep it afterwards.
When you pay
Payments run through Stripe. Card numbers and billing addresses are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach this site. Stripe does tell us who paid: the name on the card and the amount appear in our Stripe account and in the notification it emails us. That sits with Stripe and in our inbox, not on the board and not in our database. Since a listing shows only an X handle, this means we may learn the legal name behind a handle even though nobody else can.
What we store ourselves is the amount, the position it bought, Stripe's reference for the payment, and when it happened. The only thing we attach to the payment at Stripe is the numeric id X gave your account, so we can tell which listing the money was for. Your handle, name, picture and bio stay here and are never sent with it.
When you visit
We count page loads and clicks through to profiles, and we publish the totals on our stats page. Each record holds four things: whether it was a view or a click, which listing was clicked, the site you arrived from, and the time.
That is the whole record. No IP address, no browser fingerprint, no device information and no identifier of any kind, which means we cannot tell one visitor from another or follow anyone between visits. No cookie is set or read for this.
Where you arrived from is stored as a host name only, for example x.com. The rest of the address is discarded before anything is written down, because the path and query of a page you came from can carry private things and none of it is wanted here.
There is no third-party analytics service, no advertising network and no tracker on this site. The counting is done by our own server and the numbers never leave it.
What is public
Once you have paid, your listing is visible to anyone. That means your handle, your name and picture from X, your bio, how much you have paid in total, when you were listed, and how many people have clicked through to your profile. Bids also appear in the activity feed with the position they bought.
Click counts are totals. We do not record who clicked or store anything about them.
Cookies
Three cookies, all strictly necessary, none used for tracking:
- sb_session keeps you signed in for 30 days. It holds a random identifier and nothing else.
- sb_pkce exists for ten minutes during sign-in to make sure the reply coming back from X is genuinely the one you started. It is discarded immediately afterwards.
- sb_seen lasts five minutes and holds no identifier at all. The board refreshes on a timer, and this stops one open tab being counted as a room full of people.
Both are httpOnly, so no script on the page can read them. Your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser's own storage and never sent to us.
Who else sees your data
- X handles sign-in and hosts profile pictures. Because pictures load from X's servers, X can see the IP address of anyone viewing the board.
- Stripe processes payments and holds the payment details we never see.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone beyond the four above. All four are outside Switzerland, mostly in the United States, so using this site means your data is handled there. Where the law requires a safeguard for that, we rely on the standard contractual clauses each of them publishes.
How long we keep it
Listings are permanent by design. You are buying a position on a page, and it stays until somebody pays more. Signing out ends your session but does not remove your listing.
Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Removing your listing
There is no self-serve delete yet. Email support@singles.bid from an address we can tie to your account, or message us from the X account in question, and we will take the listing down. Money already paid is not refunded, since the position was delivered the moment you paid.
You can also disconnect the app at any time from your X account settings, under connected apps. One connection covers all three boards. That stops future sign-ins but does not remove a listing on its own.
Why we are allowed to use it
- To do what you asked. Taking payment, putting your listing on the board and keeping you signed in are all part of the thing you paid for.
- Because we have a fair reason. Counting visits, limiting abuse, keeping the board working and defending a legal claim. You can object to any of these; write to us and say so.
- Because the law says so. Payment and accounting records have to be kept for tax and dispute handling whether we want them or not.
Your rights
If you are in Switzerland, the UK, the EU or somewhere with similar rules, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to send it to you in a portable form, to stop using it for a while, or to object to us using it at all. Write to support@singles.bid and we will answer within a month.
If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to a data protection regulator: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or the supervisory authority where you live.
Children
This site is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly keep listings for them.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
